Dissertation coaching
About Barbara Nordin Dissertation CoachBarbara Nordin

I struggled with writer’s block for twenty-five years, and took seventeen years to finish my B.A. I know what creative paralysis feels like, and how crippling procrastination can be.

In the spring of 1996 I confronted the fears that fueled my avoidance, and by fall I was writing steadily and with great pleasure. I began with a weekly column called The Fearless Consumer, first for C-Ville Weekly and later for The Hook, but almost immediately expanded into investigative reporting and was soon the Nancy Drew of Charlottesville, VA, specializing in unsolved murders and disappearances. In 2007 I decided to step back into investigative reporting, especially the 1986 disappearance of University of Virginia graduate student Patrick Collins

As I became more practiced in using a variety of techniques for moving through and then past my own resistance to writing and similar projects, I realized that I get terrific pleasure from coaching others to do the same. The inspiration to turn a hobby into a vocation came to me in an “Aha!” moment, and ABDnomore was born.
